The apartments of Wol U are heated by geothermal energy : one of the most sustainable techniques for generating heat. This involves using heat generated from the earth itself, which is present in the subsoil, pumped up and used for heating by means of boreholes and an installation in the subsoil. This advanced technology, combined with the extensive insulation of the outer shell, results in an E-level of E30.
